Greenhouse and garden tour at College of St. Scholastica – Wed. June 13

Tour the greenhouse & greenroof area, and the Nun’s garden at College of St. Scholastica from 6:30-8 pm. 
After the tour, help plant on the greenroof;  plants donated by Paul Hlina, long time Wild Ones member and owner of Leaning Pine Natives. Bring trowel, gloves, kneeling pad, etc.  Jane Wattrus, MS Benedictine professor, will be our guide.
Jane has been teaching courses in Biology at the College of Saint Scholastica for 21 years. Courses she currently teaches are: Environmental Topics, Ecology, Field Biology, Plant Systematics and Life Science. Jane also manages the CSS greenhouse. She has a graduate degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of North Texas and an undergraduate degree in Biology from University of Minnesota, Minneapolis.
Directions:  Meet in the first parking lot, on the left side of road into campus from College & Kenwood Ave, (lot before you go over the little stone bridge on campus, that goes over Chester Creek). We will then walk to Nun’s gardens, then on up hill to Science building where we will ride elevator to greenhouse/green rooftop area. We can see each area, chat, have Q & A and then end evening with a bit of planting!
